We have completely redesigned the look and feel of the www.amberalertgps.com home page. It is using the latest web 2.0 layout techniques to give the site a simpler, more navigatable design. We are quite excited about it and would love to invite you to visit us.
Some of the changes you will see include:
1. product categories on the home page.
2. new pre-order models that will replace the existing units next year.
3. videos on the home page, including our two new television commercials and two clips from our ABC-4 news coverage a couple of months ago.
4. easier “Buy Now” buttons for those of you ready to order right away. This makes it easier to place an order without having to wander through the site trying to find where to order.
By the way, we are working hard on our Amber Alert GPS version 2.0 unit which will be out early next year. You can pre-order the unit now for a dramatically reduced price and not be billed for the monthly subscription fee until it is released. Check out the new prototypes here:

It seems that everyday we have folks contact us about wanting to distribute our awesome Amber Alert GPS tracking device to their friends and family. Well, did you know we encourage you to do that AND that we actually pay you for doing it?!?
We have what is called an affiliate program and here is how it works. When you register as an “affiliate” (a fancy name for an online distributor) on our website, you get a “code” from our program that you can put on your emails or website which will give you credit for a sale if someone clicks on a link in your email or website and ends up buying an Amber Alert GPS unit from our website. Isn’t it that easy? So, all you need to do is tell your friends and family about this new and revolutionary product and let the computer do the rest. When someone you know purchases a GPS unit, you and we are notified of the purchase and you will be automatically paid on the 20th of the following month.
To learn more about the details of our program, just go here to check it out:

We’d love to have you come join our team and be a part of this life-saving program.

There is a site that I use as a reference for child safety tips and it is called www.safekids.org. It is a non-profit organization that serves to protect children worldwide.
Here is a snippet from their home page that gives us a good idea of what they are all about:
“Safe Kids Worldwide is the first and only international nonprofit organization dedicated solely to preventing unintentional childhood injury. It focuses on one specific problem: more children 1 to 14 die from accidents such as motor vehicle crashes, fires, drowning, poisoning and falls than any other cause.
Accidents kill one million children each year around the world and permanently disable many more. And almost all of these injuries are preventable.
The organization was founded in Washington, DC in 1987 by Children’s National Medical Center with support from Johnson & Johnson.”
We endorse what this site is trying to do and I encourage you to check it our for timely and meaningful child safety tips.

I am always on the lookout for any resource that will assist me in protecting my kids and my family. I recently came across a fantastic child safety website that should become a resource for every family with children at home:
http://www.criminalcheck.com/
Basically, this is a site where you can type in your zip code and a map will come up showing where all, if any, registered sex offenders are living in your neighborhood. You may think that no one close to your home is a sex offender, but I am afraid that you may be alarmingly surprised. I typed in my zip code and found a number of registered sex offenders in my community. I knew one of the offenders from an association I had with his family previously, but fortunately there was no one that I was familiar with who had had contact with my children or family. Now I know where potential problems may exist. I am certainly more aware of who is in my community and what potential threats may exist.
I feel this is important data to know especially if my kids happen to be walking past the home of a sex offender on their way to and from school or if they have a friend’s home that they frequent to play that my be across the street or next door to a registered sex offender. So, go ahead and check it out. This information, I feel, is crucial to your child’s safety.
